And the next installment...
Jul. 31st, 2005 07:27 pmSo Simon said one night at the pub that you could tell when I was pissed because the mad LJ posts came out. Not wanting to let him down...*drum roll*
Today has been a day of many things. Of getting up too early after a late and drunken night of LotR with Dave & Bonnie & Pat, and dragging myself onto the train to Clapham Junction with Coffee in my hands because my Mum was coming to visit. Of showing Mum the flat and taking her for a walk in Battersea Park and having her express her complete approval of flat and housemates (she has thought Nicole was fab for years and years now so no great surprise there) and wanting me to live here for years (which Nico, who deserves the honour of such a shortening of her name, seems to have planned also) and volunteering to lend me *all* the Secret Books of Masonic Secrets that used to belong to my Dad and which I need to pop the ego of a friend who has a tendency to err towards the pompous and needs mocking ever so slightly, and of her taking me shopping and buying me cupboard food stocks and WINE because she was in a good mood. Of the Doddington Estate festival of festivalness with bad MCing and chicken that smells good and isn't fair.
Of intending to go to Soho but only actually making it to Battersea Park and drinking two bottles of wine, discovering that Nicole could never find legs to suit her, laughing at people dressing up in padded Sumo suits and wrestling and only then realising that we should possibly have eaten before we drunk all the wine.
Of buying more wine and making the stalker policeman go away by cunning and being bright and yet not pissing him off which is good when he's your community policeman. Of talking ligging with Rhonda and vinyl with James. Of many things, all of which were *Good*. And a day off tomorrow to recover from all of it.
Dear Gods, I have the best life.
Have a wonderful Lammas, folks. I certainly am. But considering whose day it is, that's hardly surprising. *happy*
*blows kisses*
