Yes! Mine sister told me I had to watch it, too. I had just moved from Ireland, where I had lived with my Grans. I missed them so much and my sister said YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS MAUDE IS LIKE GRAN! I was 11. It has been everything from my bible to my prozac ever since. I aspire to be like Maude when I grow up :)
That's my ambition, too. And my sister's. :-) It's such an amazing film, and I talk about it and people respond with "What? Never heard of it" and my heart sinks a little, because GOD. HAROLD AND MAUDE.
Yep, believe it or not (and my man just smiles when I say this, but it is true) if I really like a person, if I really think we could be good friends, I either lend or show them HandM. If they like it, we're on. If they don't, I am a bit wary of them ever understanding me at all.
Have you ever heard the stairs story? Apparently, when she was married to Olivier, he was filming and came home late. When he walked in the door, she was standing on the stairs, waiting for him. She then proceeded to dramatically throw herself down them.
She was voted the most beautiful British woman ever in some poll over here a couple of years ago. I was actually quite surprised, though I obviously agree.
I did one of those "what celeb do you look like" things once, and it said I looked 54% like Viv. I think it was actually the pose, given the photo they used of her, but I DON'T CARE. :-)
This will sound vain, I know, but I have gotten told I look like her A LOT. I always wondered if I really do (my husbands says absolutely, but I just cannot believe it.) and if so, if I forced my face to look like this by sheer will (HAHA) me =
Thank you! I made it :) It was my wedding dress. We were married in Venice! Yes, I try to just say thank you. It is difficult to answer something like that. I get Liv Tyler a lot, as well, and I feel awkward saying THANKS, instead of NO!! There is no WAY!!!

Yes, she is pretty much the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, followed by Jane Seymour.
